Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information is collected when MoneyWork.org is used, how that information is handled, and the choices available for managing it. Using the website means this policy applies. Reading it takes only a few minutes, and questions are always welcome at [email protected].
Information you provide
Some information is collected only when it is typed into a form on the website:
- Contact details such as name, email address, and phone number, provided when signing up, opting in to text messages, or sending a question.
- Account details such as a password and zip code, provided when creating a membership.
- Messages such as the content of emails or contact-form submissions.

Like most websites, some technical information is collected automatically while the site is being browsed:

- Device data such as browser type, operating system, screen size, and IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies that keep the site working properly and remember preferences. Browser settings can block or delete cookies at any time, though some features may stop working as expected.
How personal information is used
Personal information is used only for the purposes it was collected for:
- Delivering the money-saving tips, alerts, and updates that were requested by email or text message.

Text messaging
Phone numbers submitted through the opt-in or signup forms are used to send the text messages that were requested, such as savings alerts, money-saving tips, member offers, and service notifications. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply depending on the carrier. Consent to receive texts is never a condition of any purchase. Reply STOP to any message to cancel or HELP for assistance. Full details are in the SMS Policy, and every way to leave the list is described on the Unsubscribe page.
Sharing of personal information
MoneyWork.org does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Personal information is shared only in these limited situations:
- Service providers. Companies that host the website, deliver text messages, or send emails may process information on MoneyWork's behalf. They work under contracts that limit how the information can be used.
- Legal requirements. Information may be disclosed when a law, regulation, court order, or government request requires it.
- Safety. Information may be disclosed to protect the rights, property, or safety of MoneyWork, its members, or the public.
Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.
How personal information is protected
Reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access. These include encrypted connections, restricted access to stored data, and regular reviews of security practices. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be promised, but protecting reader information is taken seriously.
How long information is kept
Personal information is kept only as long as it is needed for the purposes described above - for example, for the length of a subscription or membership - plus any period required by law. After that, it is deleted or de-identified.
